  • 11/20/09 Next Rocket Launch 12/12/09 -The next Rocket Launch will take place (Weather permitting) on December 12, 2009 at the launch site in Lilly, GA (See Launches page). At this launch the USLI Team will be launching the competition rocket on its first flight test with dual-deployment system and the Rocket Experiment Data Acquisition System (REDAS).

  • 11/6/09 Rocket Launch Successful - The launch on November 1st, 2009 was a success. The USLI Team launched a Level 2 Test Rocket twice. The goal of the launch was to introduce new team members to High Power Rocketry. The members learned how to prepare the dual deployment charges, pack the chutes, build a high power rocket motor, launch and recover the rocket for a second flight.

  • 10/29/09 Proposal Accepted - NASA has officially accepted the GA Tech's USLI Team's Proposal for the 2009 - 2010 year.

  • 9/3/09 NASA Sends Out RFP - NASA just released the 2009 - 2010 USLI RFP. The GA Tech USLI Team is currently working on a new payload experiment and are in the process of writing the Proposal which is due on October 8, 2009.

  • 8/21/09 First USLI Team Meeting for 2009 - 2010 - The GA Tech USLI Team had it's first kickoff meeting for the 2009 - 2010 competition year. Our two primary focus areas this year will be better documentation for NASA and determining a new payload experiment.

  • 4/18/09 USLI Launch in Huntsville a Success - The GA Tech USLI Team won the award for Best Web Site Design and also came in 3rd as far as hitting the Target Altitude of One Mile. See the offical NASA Press Release here.
